C. 19. 551 printed, painted, flained, or dyed Goods, are hereby authorized and impowered to enter into any Shops, &c. to view vVarehoufes, or other Places whatfoever, where any fuch Stock of fuch Goods fhall be or remain, there to StockinHand! view the fame, and to take an Account thereof; and all and every the faid Pcrfon or Perfons chargeable, as aforefaid, for their refpeflive Stock of fuch Goods, ihall be obliged, by force and virtue of this Act, if thereunto required, to permit and fufFer the proper Officer and Officers to make fuch Entrance and View, as aforefaid; and if any Perfon or Perfons fhall refufe to permit or fuffer fuch Officer or Officers to enter Refufal to per. into their Shops, Warehoufes, or other Places (being thereunto required) to view the faid Stocks of che - "^^j' tli™ f"r. quered and ftriped Linens, and of fuch printed, painted, flained, or dyed Silks, Callicoes, Linens, and*"'^S°'" Stuffs, as aforefaid, or any of them, and every Part thereof, then every fuch Perfon, for every fuch Refu- fal, fnall forfeit the Sum of fifty Pounds. LXXXVL And it is hereby enaded, That the ColIeiSiror upon the Receipt of any the faid Duties for collcftor toelve fuch Stocks of chequered, and flriped Linens, and of fuch printed, painted, ftained, or dyed Silks, Cal- R«cipts gratis, licoes, Linens, and Stuffs, or any of them, fhall give a Receipt for the (ame gratis; and in cafe the faid Duty on Stock Duties for fuch Stocks fhall not be paid on or before the nine and twentieth Day of September one thoufand not paid by 29 fcven hundred and twelve, or if before that Time, the fame be not fecured to be paid on or before the five Sept. 1712. or and twentieth Day o? LXXXVII. Provided always. And be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That if any Perfon or Perfons who ought to Not giving in give fuch Particular of fuch Stock of the chequered and ftriped Linens, and of fuch printed, painted, a Particular of ftained, and dyed Goods, as aforefaid, or any of them, fliall negleiSl; to give a Particular of the fame, in Stock, fuch Manner and Form, as aforefaid, on or before the twentieth Day oljuly one thoufand feven hundred orc.niitting any and twelve, or fhall wittingly or .willingly omit or leave out of the fame any Part of his, her, or their faid Fart thereof, or Stock, to the Intent to defraud her Majellry, or fhall fraudulently remove, carry away, or conceal his, her, removing Stock or their faid Stock, or any Part thereof, before her Majefty's Duty thereupon fiiall be paid or fecured, as S^efo'eDaty be aforefaid, that then, and in every fuch cafe, he, {lie, or they fo offending, for every fuch OffenCe fhalH"j^'jQ^^'iJ^^' forfeit the Sum of fifty Pounds; and in all and every fuch Cafe and Cafes, the Stock or Quantity of fuch ^ ' ' Goods, for which no fuch Particular fhall have been given, or which fjiall be fraudulently omitted out of the fame, or which fliall be fo concealed or carried away before her Majefty's Duty fhall be paid or fe- cured, fhall be forfeited, and {hall and may be feized by any of her Majefty's Officers, to wit, one Moiety thereof to the Ufe of the Queen, and the other Moiety thereof to the Ufe of the Seizor. LXXXIX. XC. Provided always, and is hereby enaifted. XCI. And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That all and every the Powers, Diredtions, All the Powers Rules-, Penalties, Forfeitures, Claufes, Matters and Things, which in and by an Aft made in the twelfth in 12 Car. a.c.
