- This was said to a man by his mother-in-law. Wishing to appear to her a small eater he stinted himself at his ordinary meals, and yet appeared to flourish. Casting about for a solution of the mystery her attention was called to the ill condition of a young buffaloa. Suspecting that her son-in-law was the cause of this, she resolved to watch his movements. The following night she saw him emerge from his room and proceed to the buffaloa, whose milk he exhausted, and returned to his own quarters. On the morrow when he took his food she addressed him in the language of the proverb.
