Ꜭhaka, prep. From the other side; ꜭhaka palouh, from beyond the sea; he ah ꜭhaka ya, those from the other side of the water, a term applied to the Spaniards (Varea).

Ꜭhakap, n. and adv. The half, partly.

Ꜭhamey, n. Cane, staff; a badge of office; ahꜭhamey, the alguacil or constable.

Ꜭhaoh, n. See p. 55.

Ꜭhay, v. To injure, destroy. 2. To fasten, solder.

Ꜭhi, v. To disquiet, to be noisy.

Ꜭhih, v. To suffer, to bear.

Ꜭhipil, n. The youngest son.

Ꜭhique, v. To appoint, to resolve upon.

Ꜭhiꜭh, n. Iron, copper. See p. 19.

Ꜭhob, n. Division, class, order, battalion.

Ꜭhocoba, v. To seat a person.

Ꜭhol, v. To skin, to bark, to clean; to acquit, to rid of.

Ꜭholih, v. To value, to put a value upon; hence, ꜭholih ꜫih, to value days, to decide which are lucky and which unlucky; ꜭhol ꜫih, an astrological calendar. See p. 31.

Ꜭhub, v. To ravage, as a pestilence.

Ꜭhuc, n. The arm, or arms.

Ꜭhutin, adj. Small, little, young.


Ꜯak, v. To work in clay; to make bricks or tiles; to make, to create. 2. To joke; to make fun. 3. To lie, to deceive.

Ꜯakol, n. The maker, the creator.

Ꜯanin, v. To sound loudly, to make a great noise, of people, trumpets, dancing, etc.

Ꜯapal, n. An enclosure; that which is shut up or enclosed; from ꜯape, neuter of tin ꜯapih, shut up or enclose.

Ꜯapibal, n. The place where something is enclosed or shut up. See ꜯapal, and p. 197.

Ꜯi, n. A dog.

Ꜯibah, v. To paint; to write. See p. 16.

Ꜯima, n. A sharp-pointed tool; v. to dig with one (Ximenes).

Ꜯiquin, n. A bird, the generic word.

Ꜯiz, v. To sew, to puncture.
