12. A plate of the type shown in diagrams 502, 503, 511, 518, 519, 519.1, 525 to 527, 534.1, 534.2, 535.1, 537.1 to 537.4, 546, 547.1 to 547.4, 553, 556.3, 556.4, 563, 564.1, 570 to 573, 575, 579, 602.1. 607, 608, 618, 618.1, 619.3, 619.4, 620, 620.1, 622.3, 625.2, 627,6361, 6421, 643 to 645, 656, 656.1, 660.2, 662, 802.1 to 805, 307, 812.3, 812.4 and 817.1 shall not be used unless used in combination with the signs which are specified beneath the diagrams showing the plate.
13. A plate of the type shown in diagrams 637, 639, 640, 641 or 646 may be placed on or near the side or a road only if there is placed in conjunction with that plate and on the same side of the road a road marking shown in diagrams 1016.1, 1017 or 1018, except that this paragraph shall not apply where any such plate is so placed for the purposes or a temporary statutory provision.
14. A plate of the type shown in diagram 638 or 540 may be placed on or near the side of a road only if there is placed in conjunction with that plate and on the same side or the road a road marking shown in diagram 1019, 1020 and 1021, except that this paragraph shall not apply where any such plate is so placed for the purpose or a temporary statutory provision.
15. The sign shown in diagram 545 when used in combination with the plate shown in diagram 547.1 or with the sign (amber flashing lights) prescribed by Regulation 31(2) of the Regulations may be placed only on is road on which, in the vicinity of the site or the sign, there is a place patrolled from time to time by is school crossing patrol or otherwise in use by children under supervision as provided by Regulation 37(2)(b).
