Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the ,1_g_m,,ck_ Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the Pension to. pension roll the name of John Charles Black, late lieutenant-colonel of the '1`hirty-seventh Regiment Illinois Volunteers, and pay him a pension of one hundred dollars per month trom and after the passage of this act. Approved, June 18, 1878. CHAP. 284.-An act granting a pension to Mary McAdams. June 18, 1878. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Mnrv McAdams. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the P°"‘°“ *°· pension—roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pensionlaws, the name of Mary McAdams, dependent mother of Robert I. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the lute- W. Bowlin. ury be, and he hereby is, directed to pay to William Bowlin, late of P¤>'m°¤l**°· Company L, Second Arkansas Cavalry, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, a sum equal to the pay andemoluments of a captain of cavalry, trom the thirteenth of February, eighteen hundred and sixty-tour, to the eighth of Match, eighteen hnndred and sixty- fonr, deducting whatever pay he may have received for that period as an enlisted man.
