Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the ,1_g_m,,ck_ Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the Pension to. pension roll the name of John Charles Black, late lieutenant-colonel of the '1`hirty-seventh Regiment Illinois Volunteers, and pay him a pension of one hundred dollars per month trom and after the passage of this act. Bowlin. ury be, and he hereby is, directed to pay to William Bowlin, late of P¤>'m°¤l**°· Company L, Second Arkansas Cavalry, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, a sum equal to the pay andemoluments of a captain of cavalry, trom the thirteenth of February, eighteen hundred and sixty-tour, to the eighth of Match, eighteen hnndred and sixty- fonr, deducting whatever pay he may have received for that period as an enlisted man.
