C., title 48, sec . 1391), traveling expenses of officers and employees while absent from place of duty on official business, neces- sary janitor service, care of Federal grounds, repair and preserva- tion of Federal buildings and furniture, purchase of equipment, stationery, lights, water, and other necessary miscellaneous expenses, $150,613 . For salaries and expenses of the agricultural experiment station in the Virgin Islands, including technical personnel, clerks, and other persons ; scientific investigations of plants and plant industries and diseases of animals ; demonstrations in practical farming ; official traveling expenses ; fixtures, apparatus, and supplies ; clearing and fencing of la nd ; and other necessar y station expenses , $25, 000 . For defraying the deficits in the treasuries of the municipal gov- ernments because of the excess of current expenses over current revenues for the fiscal year 1933, municipality of Saint Thomas and Saint John, $112,032 and municipality of Saint Croix, $124,355 ; in all, $236,387 : Provided, Tha t the amo unt h erein app ropri ated for each mu nicipa l gove rnment shall be ex pended only i f an e quival ent amount is raised by municipal revenues and applied to the operating costs of the respective government, except that for the fiscal year 19 3 3 th e cont ributi on to either munic ipal g overnme nt sha ll not be less than $110 000 : Provided further That should the revenues of Eac°s revenues for f
