References to verses[edit]

Shouldn't links to verses cited in the Grammar be to the Hebrew citation (rather than KJV)?

There are a number of possibilities:

  • Link to the relevant verse in Hebrew Wikisource.
  • Create a system of "verse" pages here at English Wikisource showing different versions of the verse including the Hebrew, which would be uploaded here as it was on the Hebrew wiki. Dovi (talk) 12:37, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My choice of KJV was completely arbitrary. I wanted a quick proof of concept and chose it simply because it is complete and stable. It is certainly better to link to a Hebrew bible. It poses a couple of technical problems, but it is certainly on my list. See the explanation at {{GHGbible-ref}}. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 16:22, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Dovi,
Thought you'd like to know that after almost ten years this is finally about to happen.
See User:Amire80/test-transclude for an early demo. I'm still working on it, but you can already see nice things like ψ 119101. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 12:30, 27 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
