	In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful.	Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
069:001	The reality.	Alhaqqatu
069:002	What is the reality?	Ma alhaqqatu
069:003	Absolutely, do you know what is the reality?	Wama adraka ma alhaqqatu
069:004	Thamud and 'Aad disbelieved in the Shocker.	Kaththabat thamoodu waAAadun bialqariAAati
069:005	As for Thamud, they were annihilated by the devastation.	Faamma thamoodu faohlikoo bialttaghiyati
069:006	And as for 'Aad, they were annihilated by a furious violent wind.	Waamma AAadun faohlikoo bireehin sarsarin AAatiyatin
069:007	He unleashed it upon them for seven nights and eight days, in succession. You could see the people destroyed in it, as if they are decayed palm trunks.	Sakhkharaha AAalayhim sabAAa layalin wathamaniyata ayyamin husooman fatara alqawma feeha sarAAa kaannahum aAAjazu nakhlin khawiyatun
069:008	Do you see any remnants of them?	Fahal tara lahum min baqiyatin
069:009	And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the sinners, came with wickedness.	Wajaa firAAawnu waman qablahu waalmu/tafikatu bialkhati-ati
069:010	They disobeyed the messenger of their Lord. So He took them with a devastating requital.	FaAAasaw rasoola rabbihim faakhathahum akhthatan rabiyatan
069:011	And when the water flooded, We carried you on the vessel.	Inna lamma tagha almao hamalnakum fee aljariyati
069:012	That We would make it as a reminder for you, and so that any listening ear may understand.	LinajAAalaha lakum tathkiratan wataAAiyaha othunun waAAiyatun
069:013	And when the horn is blown once.	Fa-itha nufikha fee alssoori nafkhatun wahidatun
069:014	And the Earth and the mountains will be removed from their place and crushed with a single crush.	Wahumilati al-ardu waaljibalu fadukkata dakkatan wahidatan
069:015	On that Day the unavoidable event will come to pass.	Fayawma-ithin waqaAAati alwaqiAAatu
069:016	And the heavens will be torn, and on that Day it will be flimsy.	Wainshaqqati alssamao fahiya yawma-ithin wahiyatun
069:017	And the Angels will be on its borders, and the throne of your Lord will be carried above them by eight.	Waalmalaku AAala arja-iha wayahmilu AAarsha rabbika fawqahum yawma-ithin thamaniyatun
069:018	On that Day, you will be exposed, nothing from you can be hidden.	Yawma-ithin tuAAradoona la takhfa minkum khafiyatun
069:019	As for the one who is given his record in his right, he will Say: "Here, come and read my record!"	Faamma man ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi fayaqoolu haomu iqraoo kitabiyah
069:020	"I knew that I was going to be held accountable."	Innee thanantu annee mulaqin hisabiyah
069:021	So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing.	Fahuwa fee AAeeshatin radiyatin
069:022	In a lofty Paradise.	Fee jannatin AAaliyatin
069:023	Its fruits are within reach.	Qutoofuha daniyatun
069:024	"Eat and drink merrily in return for your works in days past."	Kuloo waishraboo hanee-an bima aslaftum fee al-ayyami alkhaliyati
069:025	As for him who is given his record in his left, he will Say: "Oh, I wish I never received my record,"	Waamma man ootiya kitabahu bishimalihi fayaqoolu ya laytanee lam oota kitabiyah
069:026	"And that I never knew my account,"	Walam adri ma hisabiyah
069:027	"I wish the end had been final,"	Ya laytaha kanati alqadiyatu
069:028	"My money cannot help me,"	Ma aghna AAannee maliyah
069:029	"All my power is gone."	Halaka AAannee sultaniyah
069:030	Take him and shackle him.	Khuthoohu faghulloohu
069:031	Then to Hell cast him.	Thumma aljaheema salloohu
069:032	Then, in a chain that is the length of seventy arms, tie him up.	Thumma fee silsilatin tharAAuha sabAAoona thiraAAan faoslukoohu
069:033	For he did not believe in God, the Great.	Innahu kana la yu/minu biAllahi alAAatheemi
069:034	Nor did he advocate the feeding of the poor.	Wala yahuddu AAala taAAami almiskeeni
069:035	Consequently, he has no friend here today.	Falaysa lahu alyawma hahuna hameemun
069:036	Nor any food, except from pollutants.	Wala taAAamun illa min ghisleenin
069:037	Food for the sinners.	La ya/kuluhu illa alkhati-oona

38-52

069:038	I swear by what you see.	Fala oqsimu bima tubsiroona
069:039	And what you do not see.	Wama la tubsiroona
069:040	This is the utterance of an honourable messenger.	Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareemin
069:041	It is not the utterance of a poet; rarely do you believe.	Wama huwa biqawli shaAAirin qaleelan ma tu/minoona
069:042	Nor the utterance of a soothsayer; rarely do you take heed.	Wala biqawli kahinin qaleelan ma tathakkaroona
069:043	A revelation from the Lord of the worlds.	Tanzeelun min rabbi alAAalameena
069:044	And had he attributed anything falsely to Us.	Walaw taqawwala AAalayna baAAda al-aqaweeli
069:045	We would have seized him by the right.	Laakhathna minhu bialyameeni
069:046	Then, We would have severed his life-line.	Thumma laqataAAna minhu alwateena
069:047	None of you would be able to prevent it.	Fama minkum min ahadin AAanhu hajizeena
069:048	And this is a reminder for the righteous.	Wa-innahu latathkiratun lilmuttaqeena
069:049	And We know that some of you are deniers.	Wa-inna lanaAAlamu anna minkum mukaththibeena
069:050	And that it is a distress for the rejecters.	Wa-innahu lahasratun AAala alkafireena
069:051	And it is the absolute truth.	Wa-innahu lahaqqu alyaqeeni
069:052	Therefore, you shall glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.	Fasabbih biismi rabbika alAAatheemi
