Beginning at the intersection of present U.S. Route 78 and State Route 10 Loop on the east side at Athens, then southwesterly and westerly over S.R. 10 to the intersection of present U.S. Route 78 west of Athens. Designate present U.S. Route 78 between these points as U.S. Route 78 Business.
ILLINOIS
Establishment of I-355
APPROVED SUBJECT TO FHWA CONCURRENCE
Beginning at the intersection of I-290 and State Route 53 west of Chicago, than southerly over a facility begin constructed to the intersection of I-55 at Bolingbrook.
MASSACHUSETTS
Relocation of U.S. Route 1

Beginning at the intersection of present U.S. Route 1 and I-95 at Dedham, then southeasterly over I-95 to the intersection of I-93 at Canton, then easterly and northerly over I-93 to the intersection of present U.S. Route 1 in Boston.
MICHIGAN
Extension of I-696

Beginning at the present terminus of I-696 at the intersection of I-75 and a facility being constructed at Hazel Park, then westerly over the new facility to the intersection of U.S. Route 24 and I-696 in Southfield.
Relocation of U.S. Route 31
APPROVED
Beginning at the intersection of present U.S. Route 31 and a facility being constructed at the Mason County line, then northerly over the new facility to the intersection at present U.S. Route 31 and U.S. Route 10 east of Ludington.
MISSOURI
Elimination of U.S. Route 61 Business

Eliminate U.S. Route 61 Business designation at Sikeston.
NORTH CAROLINA
Establishment of Interstate Route
APPROVED SUBJECT TO FHWA CONCURRENCE AND COMPLETION OF FUTURE CONSTRUCTION
Beginning at the intersection of I-85 and a facility to be constructed north of Charlotte, then clockwise over the new alignment to the intersection of I-77 just north of the South Carolina State Line.
Relocation of U.S. Route 64

Beginning at the intersection of present U.S. Route 264 and State Route 33 northeast of Greenville, then northerly over an existing facility for 3.3 miles to the intersection of U.S. Route 13, then southerly over U.S. 13 for 4 miles to the intersection of an existing facility, then westerly over the facility for 12 miles to the intersection at present U.S. Route 264 near Farmville. Also, beginning at the intersection of present Route 264 and a newly constructed facility northeast of Walstonburg, then northwesterly over the new facility for 13.6 miles to the intersection of State Route 58, then northwesterly over S.R. 58 to the intersection of present U.S. 264 at Wilson.

Beginning at the intersection of present U.S. Route 264 and State Route 33 northeast of Greenville, then southwesterly over present U.S. Route 264 to the intersection of U.S. 264 near Farmville. Eliminate present U.S. Route 264 Alternate near these points.

NORTH CAROLINIA-TENNESSEE

APPROVED SUBJECT TO FHWA CONCURRENCE AND CONTINGENT UPON THE REMOVAL OF THE I-181 DESIGNATION IN TENNESSEE BETWEEN JOHNSON CITY AND I-81
Beginning at the present terminus of I-26 southwest of Asheville, North Carolina, then northerly over I-240 to the intersection of U.S. Route 23, then northerly over U.S. 23 to the intersection of I-81 south of Kingsport, Tennessee.
