Chapter 1

1And it came to pass when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land: and a man went from Bethleem Juda to sojourn in the land of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.	και εγένετο εν ταις ημέραις εν τω κρίνειν τους κριτάς και εγένετο λιμός εν τη γη και επορεύθη ανήρ από Βηθλεέμ της Ιουδαίας του παροικήσαι εν αγρώ Μωάβ αυτός και η γυνή αυτού και οι δύο υιοί αυτού
2And the man's name was Elimelech, and his wife's name Noemin, and the names of his two sons Maalon and Chelaion, Ephrathites of Bethleem of Juda: and they came to the land of Moab, and remained there.	και όνομα τω ανδρί Ελιμέλεχ και όνομα τη γυναικί αυτού Νοομί και όνομα τοις δυσίν υιοίς αυτού Μααλών και Χελεών Εφραθαίοι εκ Βηθλεέμ της Ιούδα και ήλθοσαν εις αγρόν Μωάβ και ήσαν εκεί
3And Elimelech the husband of Noemin died; and she was left, and her two sons.	και απέθανεν Ελιμέλεχ ο ανήρ της Νοομί και κατελείφθη αυτή και οι δύο υιοί αυτής
4And they took to themselves wives, women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpha, and the name of the second Ruth; and they dwelt there about ten years.	και ελάβοσαν εαυτοίς γυναίκας Μωαβίτιδας όνομα τη μία Ορφά και όνομα τη δευτέρα Ρουθ και κατώκησαν εκεί ως δέκα έτη
5And both Maalon and Chelaion died also; and the woman was left of her husband and her two sons.	και απέθανον και γε αμφότεροι Μααλών και Χελεών και κατελείφθη η γυνή από των δύο υιών αυτής και από του ανδρός αυτής
6And she rose up and her two daughters-in-law, and they returned out of the country of Moab, for she heard in the country of Moab that the Lord had visited his people to give them bread.	και ανέστη αύτη και αι δύο νύμφαι αυτής και απέστρεψαν εξ αγρού Μωάβ ότι ήκουσαν εν αγρώ Μωάβ ότι επέσκεπται κύριος τον λαόν αυτού του δούναι αυτοίς άρτους
7And she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her: and they went by the way to return to the land of Juda.	και εξήλθεν εκ του τόπου ου ην εκεί και αι δύο νύμφαι αυτής μετ΄ αυτής και επορεύοντο εν τη οδώ του επιστρέψαι εις την γην Ιούδα
8And Noemin said to her daughter-in-law, Go now, return each to the house of her mother: the Lord deal mercifully with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.	και είπε Νοομί ταις δυσί νύμφαις αυτής πορεύθητε δη αποστράφητε εκάστη εις τον οίκον μητρός ποίησαι κύριος μεθ΄ υμών έλεος καθώς εποιήσατε μετά των τεθνηκότων και μετ΄ εμού
9The Lord grant you that ye may find rest each of you in the house of her husband: and she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.	δώη κύριος υμίν και εύροιτε ανάπαυσιν εκάστη εν οίκω ανδρός αυτής και κατεφίλησεν αυτάς και επήραν την φωνήν αυτών και έκλαυσαν
10And they said to her, We will return with thee to thy people.	και είπον αυτή μετά σου επιστρέψομεν επί τον λαόν σου
11And Noemin said, Return now, my daughters; and why do ye go with me? have I yet sons in my womb to be your husbands?	και είπε Νοομί επιστράφητε δη θυγατέρες μου ινατί πορεύεσθε μετ΄ εμού μη έτι μοι υιοί εν τη κοιλία μου και έσονται υμίν εις άνδρας
12Turn now, my daughters, for I am too old to be married: for I said, Suppose I were married, and should bear sons;	επιστράφητε δη θυγατέρες μου πορεύθητε δη ότι γεγήρακα του μη είναι ανδρί ότι είπα έστι μοι υπόστασις του γενηθήναί με ανδρί και τέξομαι υιούς
13would ye wait for them till they should be grown? or would ye refrain from being married for their sakes? Not so, my daughters; for I am grieved for you, that the hand of the Lord has gone forth against me.	μη αυτούς προσδέξεσθε έως ου ανδρυνθώσιν η αυτοίς κατασχεθήσεσθε του μη γενέσθαι ανδρί μη θυγατέρες μου ότι επικράνθη μοι σφόδρα υπέρ υμάς ότι εξήλθεν εν εμοί χειρ κυρίου
14And they lifted up their voice, and wept again; and Orpha kissed her mother-in-law and returned to her people; but Ruth followed her.	και επήραν την φωνήν αυτών και έκλαυσαν έτι και κατεφίλησεν Ορφά την πενθεράν αυτής και επέστρεψεν εις τον λαόν αυτής Ρουθ δε ηκολούθησεν αυτή
15And Noemin said to Ruth, Behold, thy sister-in-law has returned to her people and to her gods; turn now thou also after thy sister-in-law.	και είπε Νοομί προς Ρουθ ιδού ανέστρεψεν η σύννυμφός σου προς τον λαόν αυτής και προς τους θεούς αυτής επιστράφητι δη και συ οπίσω της συννύμφης σου
16And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following thee; for whithersoever thou goest, I will go, and wheresoever thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.	είπε δε Ρουθ μη απαντήσαι μοι του καταλιπείν σε η αποστρέψαι όπισθέν σου ότι συ όπου εάν πορευθής πορεύσομαι και όπου εάν αυλισθής αυλισθήσομαι ο λαός σου λαός μου και ο θεός σου θεός μου
17And wherever thou diest, I will die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if I leave thee, for death only shall divide between me and thee.	και ου εάν αποθάνης αποθανούμαι κακεί ταφήσομαι τάδε ποιήσαι κύριός μοι και τάδε προσθείη ότι θάνατος διαστελεί αναμέσον εμού και σου
18And Noemin seeing that she was determined to go with her, ceased to speak to her any more.	ιδούσα δε Νοομί ότι κραταιούται αυτή του πορεύεσθαι μετ΄ αυτής εκόπασε του λαλήσαι προς αυτήν έτι
19And they went both of them until they came to Bethleem: and it came to pass, when they arrived at Bethleem, that all the city rang with them, and they said, Is this Noemin?	επορεύθησαν δε αμφότεραι έως του παραγενέσθαι αυτάς εις Βηθλεέμ και εγένετο εν τω ελθείν αυτάς εις Βηθλεέμ και ήχησε πάσα η πόλις επ΄ αυταίς και είπαν ει αύτη εστί Νοομί
20And she said to them, Nay, do not call me Noemin; call me 'Bitter,' for the Mighty One has dealt very bitterly with me.	και είπε προς αυτάς μη δη καλείτέ με Νοομί καλέσατέ με Πικράν ότι επικράνθη εν εμοί ο ικανός σφόδρα
21I went out full, and the Lord has brought me back empty: and why call ye me Noemin, whereas the Lord has humbled me and the Mighty One has afflicted me?	εγώ επορεύθην πλήρης και κενήν απέστρεψέ με κύριος και ινατί καλείτέ με Νοομί και κύριος εταπείνωσέ με και ο ικανός εκάκωσέ με
22So Noemin and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, returned from the country of Moab; and they came to Bethleem in the beginning of barley harvest.	και επέστρεψε Νοομί και Ρουθ η Μωαβίτις η νύμφη αυτής μετ΄ αυτής επιστρέφουσαι εξ αγρού Μωάβ αύται δε παρεγενήθησαν εις Βηθλεέμ εν αρχή θερισμού κριθών

Chapter 2

1And Noemin had a friend an acquaintance of her husband, and the man was a mighty man of the kindred of Elimelech, and his name was Booz.	και τη Νοομί ανήρ γνώριμος τω ανδρί αυτής ο δε ανήρ δυνατός ισχύϊ εκ της συγγενείας Ελιμέλεχ και όνομα αυτώ Βοόζ
2And Ruth the Moabitess said to Noemin, Let me go now to the field, and I will glean among the ears behind the man with whomsoever I shall find favour: and she said to her, Go, daughter.	και είπε Ρουθ η Μωαβίτις προς Νοομί πορευθώ δη εις αγρόν και συνάξω εν τοις στάχυσι κατόπισθεν ου αν εύρω χάριν εν οφθαλμοίς αυτού είπε δε αυτή πορεύου θύγατερ
3And she went; and came and gleaned in the field behind the reapers; and she happened by chance to come on a portion of the land of Booz, of the kindred of Elimelech.	και επορεύθη και ελθούσα συνέλεξεν εν τω αγρώ κατόπισθε των θεριζόντων και περιέπεσε περιπτώματι τη μερίδι του αγρού Βοόζ του εκ της συγγενείας Ελιμέλεχ
4And, behold, Booz came from Bethleem, and said to the reapers, The Lord be with you: and they said to him, The Lord bless thee.	και ιδού Βοόζ ήλθεν εκ Βηθλεέμ και είπε τοις θερίζουσι κύριος μεθ΄ υμών και είπον αυτώ ευλογήσαι σε κύριος
5And Booz said to his servant who was set over the reapers, Whose is this damsel?	και είπε Βοόζ τω παιδαρίω αυτού τω εφεστώτι επί τους θερίζοντας τίνος η νεάνις αύτη
6And his servant who was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel who returned with Noemin out of the land of Moab.	και απεκρίθη το παιδάριον το εφεστός επί τους θερίζοντας και είπεν η παις η Μωαβίτις εστίν η αποστραφείσα μετά Νοομί εξ αγρού Μωάβ
7And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather among the sheaves after the reapers: and she came and stood from morning till evening, and rested not even a little in the field.	και είπε συλλέξω δη και συνάξω εν τοις δράγμασιν όπισθεν των θεριζόντων και ήλθε και έστη από πρωϊθεν και έως εσπέρας ου κατέπαυσεν εν τω αγρώ μικρόν
8And Booz said to Ruth, Hast thou not heard, my daughter? go not to glean in another field; and depart not thou hence, join thyself here with my damsels.	και είπε Βοόζ προς Ρουθ ουκ ήκουσας θύγατερ μη πορευθής συλλέξαι εν αγρώ ετέρω και συ ου πορεύση εντεύθεν ώδε κολλήθητι μετά των κορασίων μου
9Let thine eyes be on the field where my men shall reap, and thou shalt go after them: behold, I have charged the young men not to touch thee: and when you shalt thirst, then thou shalt go to the vessels, and drink of that which the young men shall have drawn.	και οι οφθαλμοί σου εις τον αγρόν ου αν θερίζωσι και πορεύση κατόπισθεν αυτών ιδού ενετειλάμην τοις παιδαρίοις του μη άψασθαί σου και ότε διψήσεις και πορευθήση εις τα σκεύη και πίεσαι όθεν υδρεύωνται τα παιδάρια
10And she fell upon her face, and did reverence to the ground, and said to him, How is it that I have found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take notice of me, whereas I am a stranger?	και έπεσεν επί πρόσωπον αυτής και προσεκύνησεν επί την γην και είπε προς αυτόν τι ότι εύρον χάριν εν οφθαλμοίς σου του επιγνώναί με και εγώ ειμι ξένη
11And Booz answered and said to her, It has fully been told me how thou hast dealt with thy mother-in-law after the death of thy husband; and how thou didst leave thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy birth, and camest to a people whom thou knewest not before.	και απεκρίθη Βοόζ και είπεν αυτή απαγγελία απηγγέλη μοι πάντα όσα πεποίηκας μετά της πενθεράς σου μετά το αποθανείν τον άνδρα σου και πως κατέλιπες τον πατέρα σου και την μητέρα και την γην γενέσεως σου και επορεύθης προς λαόν ον ουκ ήδεις εχθές και τρίτης
12The Lord recompense thy work; may a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, to whom thou hast come to trust under his wings.	αποτίσαι κύριος την εργασίαν σου και γένοιτο ο μισθός σου πλήρης παρά κυρίου θεού Ισραήλ προς ον ήλθες πεποιθέναι υπό τας πτέρυγας αυτού
13And she said, Let me find grace in thy sight, my lord, because thou hast comforted me, and because thou hast spoken kindly to thy handmaid, and behold, I shall be as one of thy servants.	η δε είπεν εύροιμι χάριν εν οφθαλμοίς σου κύριέ μου ότι παρεκάλεσάς με και ότι ελάλησας επί καρδίαν της δούλης σου και ιδού εγώ έσομαι ως μία των παιδισκών σου
14And Booz said to her, Now it is time to eat; come hither, and thou shalt eat of the bread, and thou shalt dip thy morsel in the vinegar: and Ruth sat by the side of the reapers: and Booz handed her meal, and she ate, and was satisfied, and left.	και είπεν αυτή Βοόζ ήδη ώρα του φαγείν πρόσελθε ώδε και φάγεσαι των άρτων μου και βάψεις τον ψωμόν σου εν τω όξει και εκάθισε Ρουθ εκ πλαγίων των θεριζόντων και εβούνισεν αυτή Βοόζ άλφιτον και έφαγε και ενεπλήσθη και κατέλιπε
15And she rose up to glean; and Booz charged his young men, saying, Let her even glean among the sheaves, and reproach her not.	και ανέστη του συλλέγειν και ενετείλατο Βοόζ τοις παιδαρίοις λέγων και γε αναμέσον των δραγμάτων συλλεγέτω και μη καταισχύνητε αυτήν
16And do ye by all means carry it for her, and ye shall surely let fall for her some of that which is heaped up; and let her eat, and glean, and rebuke her not.	και γε παραβάλλοντες παραβαλείτε αυτή εκ των βεβουνισμένων και άφετε αυτήν και συλλέξει και ουκ επιτιμήσετε αυτή
17So she gleaned in the field till evening, and beat out that she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barely.	και συνέλεξεν εν τω αγρώ έως εσπέρας και ερράβδισεν α συνέλεξε και εγενήθη ως οίφι κριθών
18And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned, and Ruth brought forth and gave to her the food which she had left from what she had been satisfied with.	και ήρε και εισήλθεν εις την πόλιν και είδεν η πενθερά αυτής α συνέλεξε και εξενέγκασα Ρουθ έδωκεν αυτή α κατέλιπεν εξ ων ενεπλήσθη
19And her mother-in-law said to her, Where hast thou gleaned to-day, and where hast thou wrought? blessed be he that took notice of thee. And Ruth told her mother-in-law where she had wrought, and said, The name of the man with whom I wrought to-day is Booz.	και είπεν αυτή η πενθερά αυτής που συνέλεξας σήμερον και που εποίησας είη ο επιγνούς σε ευλογημένος και απήγγειλε Ρουθ τη πενθερά αυτής που εποίησε και είπε το όνομα του ανδρός μεθ΄ ου εποίησα σήμερον Βοόζ
20And Noemin said to her daughter-in-law, Blessed is he of the Lord, because he has not failed in his mercy with the living and with the dead: and Noemin said to her, The man is near akin to us, he is one of our relations.	είπε δε Νοομί τη νύμφη αυτής ευλογητός εστι τω κυρίω ότι ουκ εγκατέλιπε το έλεος αυτού μετά των ζώντων και μετά των τεθνηκότων και είπεν αυτή Νοομί εγγίζει ημίν ο ανήρ εκ των αγχιστευόντων ημίν εστι
21And Ruth said to her mother-in-law, Yea, he said also to me, Keep close to my damsels, until the men shall have finished all my reaping.	και είπε Ρουθ προς την πενθεράν αυτής και γε ότι είπε προς με μετά των παιδαρίων των εμών προσκολλήθητι έως αν τελέσωσιν όλον τον αμητόν ος υπάρχει μοι
22And Noemin said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, It is well, daughter, that thou wentest out with his damsels; thus they shall not meet thee in another field.	και είπε Νοομί προς Ρουθ την νύμφην αυτής αγαθόν θύγατερ ότι εξήλθες μετά των κορασίων αυτού και ουκ απαντήσονταί σοι εν αγρώ ετέρω
23And Ruth joined herself to the damsels of Booz to glean until they had finished the barley-harvest and the wheat-harvest.	και προσεκολλήθη Ρουθ τοις κορασίοις του Βοόζ του συλλέγειν έως συντέλεσεν τον θερισμόν των κριθών και τον θερισμόν των πυρών

Chapter 3

1And she lodged with her mother-in-law: and Noemin her mother-in-law said to her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?	και εκάθισε μετά της πενθεράς αυτής και είπε αυτή Νοομί η πενθερά αυτής θύγατερ ου ζητήσω σοι ανάπαυσιν ίνα ευ γένηταί σοι
2And now is not Booz our kinsman, with whose damsels thou wast? behold, he winnows barley this night in the floor.	και νυν ουχί Βοόζ γνώριμος ημίν ου ης μετά των κορασίων αυτού ιδού αυτός λικμά τον άλωνα των κριθών ταύτη τη νυκτί
3But do thou wash, and anoint thyself, and put thy raiment upon thee, and go up to the threshing-floor: do not discover thyself to the man until he has done eating and drinking.	συ δε λούση και αλείψη και περιθήσεις τον ιματισμόν σου επί σεαυτή και ανάβηθι επί τον άλω μη γνωρισθής τω ανδρί έως του συντελέσαι αυτόν του φαγείν και πιείν
4And it shall come to pass when he lies down, that thou shalt mark the place where he lies down, and shalt come and lift up the covering of his feet, and shalt lie down; and he shall tell thee what thou shalt do.	και έσται εν τω κοιμηθήναι αυτόν και γνώση τον τόπον ου κοιμάται εκεί και ελεύση και αποκαλύψεις τα προς ποδών αυτού και κοιμηθήση και αυτός απαγγελεί σοι α ποιήσεις
5And Ruth said to her, All that thou shalt say, I will do.	είπε δε Ρουθ προς αυτήν πάντα όσα αν είπης μοί ποιήσω
6And she went down to the threshing-floor, and did according to all that her mother-in-law enjoined her.	και κατέβη εις τον άλω και εποίησε κατά πάντα όσα ενετείλατο αυτή η πενθερά αυτής
7And Booz ate and drank, and his heart was glad, and he came to lie down by the side of the heap of corn; and she came secretly, and lifted up the covering of his feet.	και έφαγε Βοόζ και έπιε και ηγαθύνθη η καρδία αυτού και ήλθε του κοιμηθήναι εν μερίδι της στοιβής η δε ήλθεν εν κρυφή και απεκάλυψε τα προς ποδών αυτού και εκοιμήθη
8And it came to pass at midnight that the man was amazed, and troubled, and behold, a woman lay at his feet.	εγένετο δε εν τω μεσονυκτίω και εξέστη ο ανήρ και εταράχθη και ιδού γυνή κοιμάται προς ποδών αυτού
9And he said, Who art thou? and she said, I am thine handmaid Ruth; spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid, for thou art a near relation.	είπε δε τις ει συ η δε είπεν εγώ ειμι Ρουθ η δούλη σου και περιβαλείς το πτερύγιόν σου επί την δούλην σου ότι αγχιστεύς ει συ
10And Booz said, Blessed be thou of the Lord God, my daughter, for thou hast made thy latter kindness greater than the former, in that thou followest not after young men, whether any be poor or rich.	και είπε Βοόζ ευλογημένη συ τω κυρίω θεώ θύγατερ ότι ηγάθυνας το έλεός σου το έσχατον υπέρ το πρώτον του μη πορευθήναί σε οπίσω νεανιών είτε πτωχός είτε πλούσιος
11And now fear not, my daughter, whatever thou shalt say I will do to thee; for all the tribe of my people knows that thou art a virtuous woman.	και νυν θύγατερ μη φοβού πάντα όσα αν είπης ποιήσω σοι οίδε γαρ πάσα φυλή λαού μου ότι γυνή δυνάμεως ει συ
12And now I am truly akin to thee; nevertheless there is a kinsman nearer than I.	και νυν αληθώς αγχιστεύς εγώ ειμι και γε έστιν αγχιστεύς εν γη ων υπέρ εμέ
13Lodge here for the night, and it shall be in the morning, if he will do the part of a kinsman to thee, well—let him do it: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, I will do the kinsman's part to thee, as the Lord lives; lie down till the morning.	αυλίσθητι την νύκτα και έσται τοπρωϊ εάν αγχιστεύση σε αγαθόν αγχιστευέτω εάν δε μη βούληται αγχιστεύσαί σε αγχιστεύσω σε εγώ ζη κύριος κοιμήθητι έως πρωϊ
14And she lay at his feet until the morning; and she rose up before a man could know his neighbour; and Booz said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor.	και εκοιμήθη προς ποδών αυτού έως πρωϊ η δε ανέστη προ του επιγνώναι άνδρα τον πλησίον αυτού και είπε Βοόζ μη γνωσθήτω ότι ελήλυθε γυνή εις τον άλω
15And he said to her, Bring the apron that is upon thee: and she held it, and he measured six measures of barley, and put them upon her, and she went into the city.	και είπεν αυτή φέρε το περίζωμα το επάνω σου και κράτησον αυτό η δε εκράτησεν αυτό και εμέτρησεν εξ κριθών και επέθηκεν επ΄ αυτήν και εισήλθεν εις την πόλιν
16And Ruth went in to her mother-in-law, and she said to her, My daughter! and Ruth told her all that the man had done to her.	και Ρουθ εισήλθε προς την πενθεράν αυτής η δε είπε τι εστι θύγατερ και απήγγειλεν αυτή πάντα όσα εποίησεν αυτή ο ανήρ
17And she said to her, He gave me these six measures of barley, for he said to me, Go not empty to thy mother-in-law.	και είπεν τα εξ των κριθών ταύτα έδωκέ μοι ότι είπε προς με μη εισέλθης κενή προς την πενθεράν σου
18And she said, Sit still, my daughter, until thou shalt know how the matter will fall out; for the man will not rest until the matter be accomplished this day.	η δε είπε κάθου θύγατερ έως του επιγνώναί σε πως ου πεσείται το ρήμα ου γαρ μη ησυχάση ο ανήρ έως αν τελέσθη το ρήμα σήμερον

Chapter 4

1And Booz went up to the gate, and sat there; and behold, the relative passed by, of whom Booz spoke: and Booz said to him, Turn aside, sit down here, such a one: and he turned aside and sat down.	και Βοόζ ανέβη επί την πύλην και εκάθισεν εκεί και ιδού ο αγχιστεύς παρεπορεύετο ον ελάλησε Βοόζ και είπε προς αυτόν Βοόζ εκκλίνας κάθισον ώδε κρύφιε και εξέκλινε και εκάθισε
2And Booz took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye here; and they sat down.	και έλαβε Βοόζ δέκα άνδρας από των πρεσβυτέρων της πόλεως και είπε καθίσατε ώδε και εκάθισαν
3And Booz said to the relative, The matter regards the portion of the field which was our brother Elimelech's which was given to Noemin, now returning out of the land of Moab;	και είπε Βοόζ τω αγχιστεύοντι την μερίδα του αγρού η εστι του αδελφού ημών του Ελιμέλεχ ω απέδοτο Νοομί η επιστρέψασα εξ αγρού Μωάβ
4and I said, I will inform thee, saying, Buy it before those that sit, and before the elders of my people: if thou wilt redeem it, redeem it, but if thou wilt not redeem it, tell me, and I shall know; for there is no one beside thee to do the office of a kinsman, and I am after thee: and he said, I am here, I will redeem it.	καγώ είπα αποκαλύψω το ους σου λέγων κτήσαι εναντίον των καθημένων και εναντίον των πρεσβυτέρων του λαού μου ει αγχιστεύεις αγχίστευε ει αγχιστεύεις ανάγγειλόν μοι και γνώσομαι ότι ουκ έστι πάρεξ σου του αγχιστεύσαι καγώ ειμι μετά σε ο δε είπεν εγώ ειμι αγχιστεύσω
5And Booz said, In the day of thy buying the field of the hand of Noemin and of Ruth the Moabitess the wife of the deceased, thou must also buy her, so as to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.	και είπε Βοόζ εν ημέρα του κτήσασθαί σε τον αγρόν εκ χειρός Νοομί και παρά Ρουθ της Μωαβίτιδος γυναικός του τεθνηκότος και αυτήν κτήσασθαί σε δει ώστε αναστήσαι το όνομα του τεθνηκότος επί της κληρονομίας αυτού
6And the kinsman said, I shall not be able to redeem it for myself, lest I mar my own inheritance; do thou redeem my right for thyself, for I shall not be able to redeem it.	και είπεν ο αγχιστεύς ου δυνήσομαι αγχιστεύσαι εμαυτώ μή διαφθείρω την κληρονομίαν μου αγχίστευσον σεαυτώ συ την αγχιστείαν μου ότι ου δυνήσομαι αγχιστεύσαι
7And this was in former time the ordinance in Israel for redemption, and for a bargain, to confirm every word: A man loosed his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour that redeemed his right; and this was a testimony in Israel.	και τούτο το δικαίωμα έμπροσθεν εν τω Ισραήλ επί την αγχιστείαν και επί το αντάλλαγμα του στήσαι πάντα λόγον υπελύετο ανήρ το υπόδημα αυτού και εδίδου τω πλησίον αυτού τω αγχιστεύοντι την αγχιστείαν αυτού και τούτο ην μαρτύριον εν Ισραήλ
8And the kinsman said to Booz, Buy my right for thyself: and he took off his shoe and gave it to him.	και είπεν ο αγχιστεύς τω Βοόζ κτήσαι σεαυτώ την αγχιστείαν μου και υπελύσατο το υπόδημα αυτού και έδωκεν αυτώ
9And Booz said to the elders and to all the people, Ye are this day witnesses, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that belonged to Chelaion and Maalon, of the hand of Noemin.	και είπε Βοόζ τοις πρεσβυτέροις και παντί τω λαώ μάρτυρες υμείς σήμερον ότι κέκτημαι πάντα τα του Ελιμέλεχ και πάντα όσα υπάρχει τω Χελεών και τω Μααλών εκ χειρός Νοομί
10Moreover I have bought for myself for a wife Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Maalon, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance; so the name of the dead shall not be destroyed from among his brethren, and from the tribe of his people: ye are this day witnesses.	και γε Ρουθ την Μωαβίτιν την γυναίκα Μααλών κέκτημαι εμαυτώ εις γυναίκα του αναστήσαι το όνομα του τεθνηκότος επί της κληρονομίας αυτού και ουκ εξολοθρευθήσεται το όνομα του τεθνηκότος εκ των αδελφών αυτού και εκ της πύλης του τόπου αυτού μάρτυρες υμείς σήμερον
11And all the people who were in the gate said, We are witnesses: and the elders said, The Lord make thy wife who goes into thy house, as Rachel and as Lia, who both together built the house of Israel, and wrought mightily in Ephratha, and there shall be a name to thee in Bethleem.	και είπον πας ο λαός οι εν τη πύλη μάρτυρες και οι πρεσβύτεροι είπον δωή κύριος την γυναίκα σου την εισπορευομένην εις τον οίκόν σου ως Ραχήλ και ως Λείαν αι ωκοδόμησαν αμφότεραι τον οίκον Ισραήλ και εποίησαν δύναμιν εν Εφραθά και έσται όνομα εν Βηθλεέμ
12And let thy house be as the house of Phares, whom Thamar bore to Juda, of the seed which the Lord shall give thee of this handmaid.	και γένοιτο ο οίκός σου ως οίκος Φαρές ον έτεκε Θάμαρ τω Ιούδα εκ του σπέρματός σου δώη σοι κύριος εκ της παιδίσκης ταύτης τέκνα
13And Booz took Ruth, and she became his wife, and he went in to her; and the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son.	και έλαβε Βοόζ την Ρουθ και εγενήθη αυτώ εις γυναίκα και εισήλθε προς αυτήν και έδωκεν αυτή κύριος κύησιν και έτεκεν υιόν
14And the woman said to Noemin, Blessed is the Lord, who has not suffered a redeemer to fail thee this day, even to make thy name famous in Israel.	και είπον αι γυναίκες προς Νοομί ευλογητός κύριος ος ου κατέλυσέ σοι σήμερον τον αγχιστέα και καλέσαι το όνομά σου εν Ισραήλ
15And he shall be to thee a restorer of thy soul, and one to cherish thy old age; for thy daughter-in-law which has loved thee, who is better to thee than seven sons, has born him.	και έσται σοι εις επιστρέφοντα ψυχήν και του διαθρέψαι την πολιάν ότι η νύμφη σου η αγαπήσασά σε έτεκεν αυτόν η εστιν αγαθή σοι υπέρ επτά υιούς
16And Noemin took the child and laid it in her bosom, and became a nurse to it.	και έλαβε Νοομί το παιδάριον και έθηκεν αυτό εις τον κόλπον αυτής και εγενήθη αυτώ εις τιθηνόν
17And the neighbours gave it a name, saying, A son has been born to Noemin; and they called his name Obed; this is the father of Jessae the father of David.	και εκάλεσαν αυτώ αι γείτονες το όνομα λέγουσαι ετέχθη υιός τη Νοομί και εκάλεσαν το όνομα αυτού Ωβήδ ούτος πατήρ Ιεσσαί πατρός Δαυίδ
18And these are the generations of Phares: Phares begot Esrom:	και αύται αι γενέσεις Φαρές Φαρές εγέννησε τον Εσρών
19Esrom begot Aram; and Aram begot Aminadab.	και Εσρώ εγέννησε τον Αράμ και Αράμ εγέννησε τον Αμιναδάβ
20And Aminadab begot Naasson; and Naasson begot Salmon.	και Αμμιναδάβ εγέννησε τον Ναασσών και Ναασσών εγέννησε τον Σαλμών
21And Salmon begot Booz; and Booz begot Obed.	και Σαλμών εγέννησε τον Βοόζ και Βοόζ εγέννησε τον Ωβήδ
22And Obed begot Jessae; and Jessae begot David.	και Ωβήδ εγέννησε τον Ιεσσαί και Ιεσσαί εγέννησε τον Δαυίδ
