Discrepancies[edit]

There is currently a typo in this source. Which indicates that it was taken from http://www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/decade/decade17.htm which cites "Source: A Decade of American Foreign Policy : Basic Documents, 1941-49 Prepared at the request of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations By the Staff of the Committee and the Department of State. Washington, DC : Government Printing Office, 1950"

See VIII. POLAND. B. WESTERN FRONTIER OF POLAND:

in the north 'end west which Poland should receive..

However this source http://www.ibiblio.org/pha/policy/1945/450802a.html cites "Pamphlet No. 4, PILLARS OF PEACE Documents Pertaining To American Interest In Establishing A Lasting World Peace: January 1941-February 1946 Published by the Book Department, Army Information School, Carlisle Barracks, Pa., May 1946"and has the same phrase as:

See IX. POLAND B-The following agreement was reached on the western frontier of Poland:

in the north and west which Poland should receive.

If the transcription was the only matter it would be a trivial thing to fix but there is a disparity in the section numbering which needs to be addressed as a citation using the Yale version (Senate Committee on Foreign Relations) will not be the same as the Army Information School version.

The discrepancy arises because the Yale version does not include the following text:

III. GERMANY

The Allied armies are in occupation of the whole of Germany and the German people have begun to atone for the terrible crimes committed under the leadership of those whom in the hour of their success, they openly approved and blindly obeyed.

Agreement has been reached at this conference on the political and economic principles of a coordinated Allied policy toward defeated Germany during the period of Allied control.

The purpose of this agreement is to carry out the Crimea Declaration on Germany. German militarism and nazism will be extirpated and the Allies will take in agreement together, now and in the future, the other measures necessary to assure that Germany never again will threaten her neighbors or the peace of the world.

It is not the intention of the Allies to destroy or enslave the German people. It is the intention of the Allies that the German people be given the opportunity to prepare for the eventual reconstruction of their life on a democratic and peaceful basis. If their own efforts are steadily directed to this end, it will be possible for them in due course to take their place among the free and peaceful peoples of the world.

The text of the agreement is as follows:

have the same transcription error as the Yale version so is probably either a copy or from the same source.

contains the same extra wording as the Army Information School version above but gives the source as "made public by the White House with the report, is published in the Department of State Bulletin (vol. 13, p. 160)."

China water and land s[edit]

It seems this article has forgot to in include China in this treaty . At the time Taiwan was occupied by Japan ; and some of the islands now under dispute with the USA and its waters . In Chinese History this land and water was all turned over to China after Japans surrender . I'm not sure if you have the proper Potsdam treaty , because you really don't mention . The China National Army and its people . These are the one's who now occupy Taiwan. The Other is the Communist China Army , Both of these armies of China fought the Japanese . The war in China with Japan started much earlier than when the USA and its allies came to the Battle . Japan did occupy China in 1937-1945, In including Taiwan up too 1947 of which the Japanese did not want to leave . USA did drop the BOMB. But China did suffer more that the allies because of Japan. Nanjing was the capital city of China , Of which the Japanese killed 300,000 people in this city alone 1937-38 .
