Uploading images[edit]

To the best of my abilities I have uploaded page 1of6 of this document. Is this OK? Should I continue to upload the other 5 pages? Thanks, --Wkboonec (talk) 13:09, 4 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Photographs of the document[edit]

The photographs of the six pages of this document were taken by historian Dr. Michael Miller at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) on (as I gather from the date/time-stamp) 25 June 2015, with his smart phone. He sent them to me (in Mexico City) by email. I transcribed the English text and translated it to Spanish. I am now uploading this most valuable historic information to Wikisource. Thank you for your consideration. --Wkboonec (talk) 13:23, 4 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have uploaded images of pages 2 thru 6[edit]

I have uploaded images of pages 2 thru 6. I may have specified different parameters, as I did for page 1. You will please forgive my unfamiliarity with these procedures.

Thanks for all your help and patience. --Wkboonec (talk) 21:36, 4 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Wkboonec: Thanks for the info. Give me a day or to give me some space to find and review what is happening, so I can provide good guidance. — billinghurst sDrewth 22:46, 4 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Licensing[edit]

I understand that historic documents, prepared over 100 years ago by the US Navy, kept at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), are in the Public Domain.

I uploaded the 6 images in two stages and, not fully familiar with how I was supposed to do it, I ended up using different licensing options:

  • For the first image ("1de6") I used {{cc-by-sa-4.0}}
  • For the other 5 images ("2de6" thru 6de6") I used {{CC-BY-2.5}}

Of course, all 6 of the images should have the same licensing code. My understanding is that the correct code is the second one that I used, because that was when I saw and selected the "Documents by the Federal Government" option.

Thanks, --Wkboonec (talk) 04:19, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
