Prayer for the Pihta

3807162Mandaïsche Liturgien — Prayer 401920Mark Lidzbarski
XL.
I worshipped and praised Oṣar who created the Pihtā
for the hidden, first Uthras who sit in their heart.
The hidden Uthras posed in their Škīnās
and praised the mighty life in his Škīnā,
dear in its splendor, wondrous in its light.
I worshipped and praised that glorious, first vine,
whose interior is water, whose foliage is Uthras,
whose tendrils are shiners of light.
In its shade sit Uthras,
in the great first cloud of light.
They dwelled in the treasure of light,
and (in it) the hidden Mānā was created.
And praised be the life.
