Somebody who is proficient in neither the shofar blasts nor prayer |
מי שאינו בקי בתקיעות ולא בתפלה |
595:1[edit]If somebody knows neither how to sound the shofar nor how to pray Mussaf, and there are two towns, one where they know how to sound the shofar but not how to pray Mussaf and one where they know how to pray Mussaf but not how to sound the shofar, they should go to the place where they know how to sound the shofar, even if it is certain that the Mussaf place knows how to pray Mussaf while it is questionable whether the shofar place knows how to sound the shofar. Rem"a: However, if they can go to the Mussaf place and there will be enough time left in the day to go to the shofar place, they should perform both commandments, as the whole day is kosher for blowing (Beit Yosef in the name of the Yerushalmi). |
סעיף א מי שאינו בקי בתקיעות ולא בסדר תפלת מוסף ולפניו שתי עירות באחת בקיאים בתקיעות ולא בתפלת מוסף ובאחת בקיאין בתפלת מוסף ולא בתקיעות הולך מקום שבקיאים בתקיעות אפי' של מוסף ודאי ושל תקיעות ספק: הגה מיהו אם יכול לילך למקום שמתפללים ויש שעות ביום שישמע אח"כ התקיעות במקום שתוקעין יקיים שתי המצות דכל היום כשר לתקוע: (ב"י בשם ירושלמי): |
