{{Help me}}

Hello just my proofread my first (and probaly one of few) pages: https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Page:Nostromo_(1904).djvu/15 I did no changes at it was perfect, but had a question if anyone could answer it (as i found no definitive answer in the help pages).

  • Should the page be a near perfect copy with line breaks as the photocopy?
  • For instance the photocopy of the above mentioned page should i have stopped each sentence at the word that breaks the line or is that completely unessecery?

Thanks Asabiyya (talk) 16:25, 2 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

The line breaks in the original print are an artefact of the printing process being constrained to the width of the paper. Because readers here will be reading on a range of screen sizes it's best to remove the line breaks. This allows the text to flow across whatever width the reader is seeing on their screen.
