Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikisource! Thank you for joining the project. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Please consider putting a brief description of yourself on your user page. If you are already a contributor to another Wikimedia project, such as Wikipedia, please mention this on your user page so we know how to contact you. Also, mention which languages you understand if English is not your first language.

In any case, I hope you enjoy donating your time to grow the Wikisource library that is free for everyone to use! In discussions, please "sign" your comments using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question here (click edit) and place {{helpme}} before your question.

Again, welcome! John Vandenberg (chat) 12:53, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Religion of God[edit]

The Religion of God appears to be a copyright violation; it says here "All rights reserved." Why do you believe this book is in the public domain ? Has the author given you permission to upload it to Wikisource? John Vandenberg (chat) 12:53, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is good news that you are uploading this to Wikisource. In order for it to be kept on Wikisource, we need to confirm that this work has been published and is widely distributed, and you will need to provide the Wikimedia Foundation with official correspondence to inform them of the terms it is being licensed under. These tasks do not need to be done immediately, so take you time and ask questions if you need to, but if they are not done, the ebook will be deleted.
Is this the book: OCLC:59278269all editions? That tells me of only two libraries which hold this book. Are you aware of other libraries that might be holding a copy of this book?
Our licensing policy requires that all modern books must be either:
  1. released into the public domain
  2. licensed under the {{CC-BY}} "free content" license
  3. licensed under the {{CC-BY-SA}} "free content" license
  4. licensed under the {{GFDL}} "free content" license
You will need to choose which of those is desirable. John Vandenberg (chat) 13:52, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK. We still need evidence that this book was published. Is this the book: OCLC:59278269all editions? John Vandenberg (chat) 06:54, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

MENARA-E-NOOR[edit]

Hi again, we try to avoid using uppercase for names. Can "MENARA-E-NOOR" be written in with more lower case letters? "Menara-e-noor" or "Menara-e-Noor" ? John Vandenberg (chat) 09:54, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

At the top of every page is a "move" button. The move button lets you rename a page. John Vandenberg (chat) 10:58, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, the move feature is not available to you for a few more days. I have moved Menara-e-Noor/The inner outer dimensions of mankind for you. John Vandenberg (chat) 11:16, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
