Index dashes

[edit]

Index dashes mean that not only is a page blank, but it also is outside the range of page numbering. --EncycloPetey (talk) 22:18, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I was unaware. Cleannesspearlpoet (talk) 22:26, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
An example of where it's used correctly is on Index:They Knew What They Wanted.pdf. The Frontispiece is inserted between pages ii & iii, so the back of the Frontispiece is a blank extra "page". Likewise, a Note page was inserted between pages xvi & xvii, so the back of the Note gets a dash, since it is not part of the numbering sequence. --EncycloPetey (talk) 22:32, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'm also curious as to why you are reducing the font size in the Preface. It is in the standard font size used throughout the text. What is the reason for shrinking the text? --EncycloPetey (talk) 22:20, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I didn't consciously reduce the font size and I'm confused as to why it's smaller. Cleannesspearlpoet (talk) 22:34, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
There is a font size reducing template in the header: {{fine block/s}} that is shrinking the text. --EncycloPetey (talk) 22:36, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I must have copied that from somewhere else to format the header without realizing what it did. I'll fix it. Cleannesspearlpoet (talk) 22:37, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
