Wondering how to proceed in transferring pages from an index with bad OCR to another one with good[edit]

{{helpme}} @Beeswaxcandle:

Hello Beeswaxcandle, Hello anyone coming by to help,

(Context: I was pleased to find the book I wanted to proofread already in commons, and made an Index page, only to find out the text was entirely garbled, lines broken and intermixed. So I uploaded a new version. And made a new index page. But I already had started typing a few pages...)

Should I just try and use the move page function on a Page page ?

Since Page namespace is managed by the proofread extension, I wonder if this could mix things up... (If so, I see no other way than just copy-paste page contents.)

And, btw, since those two indexes are duplicate, is there any way to ask for the deletion of the one for the broken pdf?

Done Sorted. When it's only a few pages it's easy to deal with manually through page moves (an Administrator can supress the automatic redirect). If there are many pages to be moved, it's best to get one of the bot operators to look after such. Log a request for such on WS:BOTR. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 00:18, 30 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Beeswaxcandle: Well, thank you very much. I'd have done it myself if I had not those concerns about potentially strange inner workings of page namespace.
