Places and dates[edit]

Here's how I formatted the indication of place and date in page 386 (352).

{{block right/s}}<small><poem>
{{sc|The Red House, Papeete,}}
{{c|''Friday, February 8th.''}}
</poem></small>{{block right/e}}

I've modified this as follows:
{{block right|align=center|
{{smaller|{{sc|The Red House, Papeete,}}<br />''Friday, February ''8''th''.}}}}
This makes use of {{block right}} and its centering parameter. --EncycloPetey (talk) 17:18, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Images should be uploaded as png files to Commons, and placed in Category:A Lady's Cruise in a French Man-of-War. --EncycloPetey (talk) 14:47, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stray mark, or not?[edit]

At the bottom of Page:A_Lady's_Cruise_in_a_French_Man-of-War.djvu/37 there is something like a small "B". Is this just a stray mark, or should be be included in the footer? I checked about four other pages and saw nothing similar. WhatamIdoing (talk) 15:09, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@WhatamIdoing: It will be a printer's mark. They are used to compile the large master sheets prior to folding and cutting. There is no need to reproduce it, unless you really want to do so. If you do, it would be in the footer. — billinghurst sDrewth 15:42, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How to join pages without whitespace?[edit]

Page:A_Lady's_Cruise_in_a_French_Man-of-War.djvu/188 and the next page split the phrase live with their mother / —a very fine old lady. How does have to marked up that in transcript mode there is no space between mother and the dash? Anathaniel (talk) 04:10, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Use {{lps}} and {{lpe}}. An example of their use is on Page:The Boy Travellers in Australasia.djvu/161 and /162. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 04:28, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
