Works rediscovered[edit]

Newly rediscovered works by, and some likely by, Alcott are identified in:

Max L. Chapnick (March 2023). "New Louisa May Alcott Pieces: Radical Sensation in a Culture of Ambiguous Attribution". J19 (in English) 11 (1): 171–185. ISSN 2166-742X. doi:10.1353/JNC.2023.A909300. Wikidata Q123505925.

which is available via the Wikipedia Library.

Several are available via "American Antiquarian Society (AAS) EBSCO Historical Periodicals Collection" Series 2 and 4. The remainder do not appear to be online, with the single exception of:

“The Wayside,” in Sweet Home; Or Friendship’s Golden Altar, edited by Frances E. Percival (Boston: L. P. Crown, 1856), 141-46

which I have uploaded to c:Category:Sweet Home; or Friendships Golden Altar.

Great find. You posted to the Scriptorium to get visibility. Is there any issue other than just "we should add these" (e.g. a copyright question or something)? —Justin (koavf)TCM 19:25, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have just transcribed and published "The Wayside". It would be great if someone could validate (it's only 3 pages) and check my related edits.
I have been unable to find any of the relevant works in "AAS EBSCO Historical Periodicals Collection"; if someone could do that, it would be great. And yes, they then need to be added here.
No issues, otherwise. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:08, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
