Formatting considerations[edit]

A list of formatting considerations for this work, a WS:PotM suggestion, are provided here. Please note any others that are recommended.

  • At the bottom-right corner of the pages the first word, or a portion of that word, is given; this should be given as {{right|<text>}} in the footer section. This does not, however, need to be done on an initial proofread.
  • The divisions between individual entries is this: {{rule|5em|height=2px}}{{rule|5em}}. It is, however, sometimes reversed. This may be standardized, or the original formatting may be kept in all instances.
  • The divisions between letters is not always present. This may be standardized, or the original formatting may be kept in all instances.
  • Each entry should be divided by sections for transclusion, as they will receive individual sections. The division will be thus:
    • On the main page, a table of contents leading to all letter sub-pages.
    • On each letter sub-page, a table of contents directing each entry.
    • Following this system, the inclusion of the letter beginning some of the sections would be transcluded onto the letter sub-page.

Text marked thus is that which is the most open to change, as it is my personal decision on formatting, rather than a universal consensus. The last item especially I have not decided fully upon as to whether the division should be by entry or by letter. TE(æ)A,ea. (talk) 02:46, 30 December 2019 (UTC).[reply]

Transclusion as individual biographical entries[edit]

The page A Biographical Dictionary of the Celebrated Women of Every Age and Country/A has been set up to transclude all people with name "A" as one long translusion. The current practice would be to not transclude work that way as it does not allow us to easily align pages with people, and attribute at Wikidata. It is preferred that each biographical section is transcluded to its own page. Thanks.

Although not done by me, the page referenced has been split into individual entries. Chrisguise (talk) 08:38, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
