Index administrivia
[edit](rough searches that needs tidying, there would be more refined regex that would do this), utilising the Regex Gadget.
1) First get all tidied incl. starting # to be converted to * ensure that the names end with a comma
2) To link up the index,
- {{DJVU page link}}
search (\s)(\d{1,3})([^\w]) replace $1{{DJVU page link|$2|24}}$3
- {{namespace link}}
search /\n([^\{]+)/g replace \n$1@
search /\n(.*),(\s)\@/g replace \n{{namespace link|$1|$1|A Compendium of Irish Biography}},$2
- Note that in the replace statements only that the \n is entered as a carriage return, whereas in the search statements it is entered as the text. Two concurrent searches will work
Generally then have to tidy up the SEE lines, which is a removal of the code back to original. Maybe refine search to ignore those lines
Table of Authorities
[edit]The A Compendium of Irish Biography/Authorities is to where the references all link in each biography; as each article is transcluded to the main namespace, it seems more congruous to actually transclude the relevant references into each article as references. To make this easier for this work, the means to utilise the article specific template {{IrishBio ref}}, specifically {{IrishBio ref}}, and the corresponding pages for the refs are listed on the template page. — billinghurst sDrewth 22:27, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Adding section markers
[edit]When adding section markers to individual biographies, I have found it convenient to name the section marker identically to the bolded text, as I have found it helpful when transcluding.
- Transcluding in main namespace
To assist with transcluding into main namespace with the section names (identified previously), I have added some notes at Talk:A Compendium of Irish Biography — billinghurst sDrewth 00:38, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
{{IrishBio lkpl}} — internal references
[edit]For internal references to biographies within the work, the template {{IrishBio lkpl}} is configured for this purpose. — billinghurst sDrewth 16:21, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
