Errors corrected in the source file
[edit]Two pages of the original book are missing from the scan, and additional two pages appear in the wrong position within the scan, as follows:
- page 290 is missing, and in its location is the scan of page 292
- page 291 is missing, and in its location is the scan of page 293
- where page 292 ought to be, in its location is a duplicate of page 294
- where page 293 ought to be, in its location is a duplicate of page 295
Because this is an Internet Archive file, and IA will no longer generate DjVu files, it may not be possible to correct this problem in the source file itself. To correct our own copy as far as is possible, the Page namespace copies of mis-positioned pages 292 and 293 have been moved to their correct sequence, but this means they will not match the source file page scans against which they are set.
I have added copies of the text for pages 290 and 291 by comparing against another scan, but it is a poor quality Google scan with the right-hand side of page 290 missing a few characters from each line. I have patched this using the text formerly found in our copy of chapter XXIV, but the source file still has the wrong pages in that location and is missing the text of these two pages altogether. --EncycloPetey (talk) 13:42, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- Fixed, with the poor page 290. If a better scan for that page can be found, it can be improved.— Mpaa (talk) 15:30, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- It seems User:Hrishikes has done so. Thanks, guys. --EncycloPetey (talk) 16:35, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
