Be specifically aware of the following easily confused letters:

• r (r) vs. s (s)
• p (p) vs. w (w)
• þ (þ) vs. ꝥ (ꝥ) - note that ꝥ is an abbreviation for þæt

Also be aware that the following are normal Latin letters in an Insular font, and special characters should NOT be used:

• g is {{insular|g}}, not {{insular|ᵹ}}
• w is {{insular|w}}, not {{insular|ƿ}}
• & is {{insular|&}}, not {{insular|⁊}}

@ShakespeareFan00: Yes, upper case thorn is Þ (Þ), not to be confused with upper case W W. —Note that in this edition the upper case W looks a lot more like Þ than like W. You can see examples of both characters on this page; the second paragraph begins with Þ and the third paragraph begins with W. —Beleg Tâl (talk) 13:08, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
