"Pascal" is the integral transcription of the text found on pages 382-390 of the book : The complete works of Lyof N. Tolstoï : Patriotism, Slavery of our times, General articles, New York: Carlton House, 1928 (Thomas Y. Crowell & Co. 1899; Nathan Haskell Dole, 1927; Thomas y Crowell Company, 1928). Not sure from which volume this is cited. There appear to be twelve volumes, and if this was published from a new translation and published in 1928 there is no guarantee that the work is out of copyright, and we need more detail to be able to keep this work. There is no mention of the translator to have a date of death to assess copyright. If this was registered for copyright and renewed, it would come out of copyright in 2023. — billinghurst sDrewth 07:25, 9 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
I can see one post-1923 having copyright and renewal. [1]billinghurst sDrewth 15:41, 9 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

This text is available on the web, Archive.org. https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.86668 So, I expect you will republish the essay I posted a long time ago now.~~

@AndWater: Please sign your posts. And please note that inclusion in Internet Archive is not a proof of public domain. The work was published in 1928 and contains copyright notice. Therefore, public domain status needs to be established. Hrishikes (talk) 02:48, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Firstly, I did my best. Second, I have presented a text you did not know. Thirdly, if you feel something is still missing do your own inquiry. Finally, You can't judge a book by its cover AndWater (talk)
