@George Orwell III: Would you please tell me the purpose of tracking use of the Permission field to [[Category:Information template using 'License' parameter]]. Its just mirroring what Commons had in their version of the template. I found it odd myself but there was soooo much 'chatter' about a change concerning license templates (banners) in general coming with the roll out of one thing or another (the first being Media Viewer) in the not-so-distant future that I kept everything Commons had to see what develops. If you have better intel than I do, feel free to make changes. We can always re-apply/revert as needed right? -- George Orwell III (talk) 21:21, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Example Copyright and CC?

@Nissimnanach: Asking questions here is probably not the best space, better to use the general discussion spaces. The question has some ambiguity, and I am not exactly certain I understand the specifics of your question. So ... I am presuming that it will be an example, and I will note that it is an old example. Creative commons is a licence, and all CC are attribution. The sharelike is a tighter form (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ and https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/) and if someone wants a looser licensing that is okay. — billinghurst sDrewth 00:22, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
