template placement[edit]
Should this template be placed on the Main page or on the Talk page? I've seen it done both ways. Thanks, Londonjackbooks (talk) 05:41, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
- @Londonjackbooks: This is an excellent question, and one I've had too. As far as I can tell there's no policy requiring it to be any particular place. Personally I feel it is more convenient to have straightforward explanations in the "notes" field of the {{header}} template, where the reader can easily find it; I believe most readers would not think to click the "Talk" tab to find such information. But I don't have a policy basis for that, just my opinion. -Pete (talk) 05:06, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
