@Jan.Kamenicek: Hi. how to make this template work with Tamil numerals in Tamil wikisource? if in the pagelist the numbers are defined as Tamil decimal then the template is showing error. Regards. -- Balaji (Let's talk) 18:16, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Balajijagadesh: Hello. Unfortunately I know very little about Tamil numeral system and absolutely nothing about the Tamil Wikisource environment, but I tried to experiment a bit and the result is
{{#switch: {{#invoke:String|sub|{{{1}}}|-1}} | ௦ | ௨ | ௪ | ௬ | ௮ | ௰ | ௱ | = {{RunningHeader| {{#if:{{{4|}}}|{{{4|}}}|{{{1|}}} }} |{{{3|{{{2|}}}}}}| }} |
  {{#switch: {{#invoke:String|sub|{{{1}}}|-1}} | ௧ | ௩ | ௫ | ௭ | ௯ = {{RunningHeader||{{{2|}}}| {{#if:{{{4|}}}|{{{4|}}}|{{{1}}} }} }} }}}}
It seems to work here in English Wikisource, but I have no idea how it would work anywhere else. It also invokes the template {{RunningHeader}} so it would not work if such a template that did not exist in the other Wikisource. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 16:39, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jan.Kamenicek:. Thanks for taking efforts. The {{RunningHeader}} and {{Recto-verso header2}} is available in ta.ws too. (ta:template:Recto-verso header2). The whether the template is working can be checking in this index containing tamil decimal numbers [1]. Feel free to tinker around the templates in ta.ws. If you find it difficult, kindly let me know where to add which part of the code. Regards -- Balaji (Let's talk) 16:50, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Balajijagadesh: As you have probably noticed already, I have created there a brand new template specialized for Tamil numerals which seemed easier to me than making the original one more complex. Feel free to rename it or change it in any way you like. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 07:32, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
