Proclamation of Peace

Hi Don,

How're you getting on with the Proclamation of Peace? I see you're marking the pages as "Not proofread". Are you having trouble or are you just doing it bit by bit? Please don't hesitate to ask for assistance if you need help with anything: the workflow and practices on Wikisource can be pretty alien and confusing for even experienced wiki editors! --Xover (talk) 07:31, 9 February 2020 (UTC)

Thank you so much. This is my first Wikisource project and so I am going slow to figure it all out. I think I am getting the hang of it. I have now marked it all proofread.

I guess the next step is to wait for someone else to verify it.

My plans are to do several projects and recruit others in my field to help with the proofreading. I am looking forward to it.

I've gone over the pages and done the Validation step. I see you had a little trouble with formatting in a few places, but nothing very significant. The biggest was perhaps the title page which was a little on the sparse side. I've added typical formatting there so it should be ok now. Otherwise, very nice work. Thanks!

I have also transcluded it into its final presentation form at Proclamation of Peace, and added it to our "New texts" section on the Main Page.

However, in looking closer at it, I see that it appears to be only a part of a larger work of some kind (e.g. it is labelled "No. 68"). Was this perhaps published as part of a larger compilation of Dagg's writings? Or a collection of writings by multiple authors? If that is the case, we generally prefer to set up the work to reflect the whole published work rather than for just individual chapters or entries, even if we cannot immediately proofread all of the work. --Xover (talk) 12:58, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

Wonderful! Thank you so much.

I did not realize all that formatting was available. I need to learn the syntax to use it in future projects. Looks simple enough. This is great.

I do not know if this was part of a larger work. It is stand alone on the Internet Archive, where I sourced it from. If I come across it in my studies, I will add the information. My plan is to do all of Dagg's works and to write a fuller main Wikapedia entry for him.
