Comments from Bettany[edit]

I have undone the edits from Bettany's obituary, as Wikisource is about reproducing works that are in the public domain as per What's in?.

To the work that you have and how you can contribute

  • Scans from works in the public domain (ie. not under copyright) can be uploaded to Commons:, providing the appropriate source and licence information.
  • Works in the public domain can be loaded at WS, and are current goal is to have the scanned copy at Commons in a .djvu format hopefully with a text layer to the file.
  • From there we can look to reproduce the work and present to the world as a source work.
  • Simple wikilinks to WMF sites, eg. Wikipedia, WikiSource, Commons are all able to be done easily allowing easy navigation between articles, pictures, and source materials.

Peruse the welcome message tabs for various information that is specific to some of the synopsis above. billinghurst (talk) 04:17, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
