Crossnamespace redirects

Thanks very much for contributing here. Unfortunately, the redirects to author pages that you created had to be deleted, because Wikisource:Deletion policy does not allow crossnamespace redirects, including those from the main (article) namespace to the author namespace. I hope it will not discourage you from further contributions. Well, that's a wonderful idea because it keeps interwiki links from working. But hey, who cares about other projects linking here anyway, right? --Ehitaja (talk) 13:30, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

I am afraid I do not understand, it seems you contradict yourself very much, expressing concerns that it keeps interwiki links from working and saying that it is a good idea at the same time, so I am really not sure what you want or need. All author pages are linked to other Wikimedia projects through Wikidata, and no redirects are needed for that. If you experience any specific problems with interwiki, we can have a look at them and try to find a solution. If you believe that redirects would be a solution to some kind of problems, you can suggest a change in the policy to the community at an appropriate place. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 15:02, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
