Question about upload[edit]

Generally we upload files to Commons:, as that means the files are usable across all the WMF sites. We do upload files here if they are unable to be hosted at Commons, and look to shift files that can be hosted at Commons to that site. Is there any reason that we are unable to move the file there? (and I am happy to do it) -- billinghurst (talk) 16:08, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Thank you for your note.
The file that you uploaded was already at Commons: and you can find it at Commons:File:יהואש דברי הימים א.djvu. I also moved the pdf to commons:File:יהואש צווייטע.pdf.
Are you meaning to be here at English Wikisource, or looking to be at he:Wikisource? -- billinghurst (talk) 23:40, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
My english not so good. my Language is Hebrew.
I uploaded that file because I want to create someing like this.
can you help me.
:I don't now how to found the fole the I uploaded. --Israel.M (talk) 17:19, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
::I'm meaning to be here at English Wikisource because only over here you can create something like this.
:do you can create that for me?
:::I would have thought that it was possible at Hebrew WS, the Index/Page: environment is not special to English WS. Your English is far better than my Hebrew. :-) billinghurst (talk) 09:11, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Oh dear, I cannot type back to front, and I think that the conversation is best here.

I am told that the same application Proofread Page which is the Index: & Page: namespace. I cannot read the Hebrew, however, you should be able to determine the replicate names from the drop down boxes at http://he.wikisource.org/wiki/%D7%9E%D7%99%D7%95%D7%97%D7%93:%D7%93%D7%A4%D7%99%D7%9D_%D7%94%D7%9E%D7%AA%D7%97%D7%99%D7%9C%D7%99%D7%9D_%D7%91.

At the Index equivalent you need to create a Index:filename.djvu which has exactly the same name as File:filename.djvu at Commons. billinghurst (talk) 09:27, 2 November 2009 (UTC) billinghurst (talk) 09:27, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Example

 • Index:יהואש דברי הימים א.djvu
 • File:יהואש דברי הימים א.djvu

I will see if I can find someone who may have Hebrew who may be able to assist. billinghurst (talk) 09:29, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Index at He:WS[edit]

I created an index at he:מפתח:יהואש דברי הימים א.djvu, copying the one here. You should be able to use that index to access all the pages of the book. Cheers! --Eliyak T·C 19:08, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thenk you Eliyak.
I want to now:
1: whay the nombets start with these nombers i ii iii iv v vi vii viii ix x xi xii, and not with 1 2 3?
2: Whay in the Hebrew there isn't the possibility of OCR like bt the English?--Israel.M (talk) 09:08, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You need to turn on OCR in your settings ... My Preferences | Gadgets ... tick box for OCR ... Save
