National Anthem of Zimbabwe

Thanks for adding the text of the National Anthem of Zimbabwe. However, there are some points that need to be solved.

1. English Wikisource accepts only texts in English, the texts in other languages can be added to the relevant language Wikisources, if they exist, or to the multilingual Wikisource.
2. The English translation of the anthem can be accepted only if we can demonstrate that it is in the public domain. To do so, we need to know the source of the translation. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 19:14, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for the comments. It'd be good to have this cleared up.

1. can't be true given National Anthem of South Africa.

2. It is from the Constitution of Zimbabwe which has no copyright under Zimbabwean law as it is a public instrument.

Well, the South African anthem has apparently escaped from patrol, so now I will have a look at it too and the non-English text will have to be deleted.

As for the English text of the constitution of Zimbabwe including the lyrics of the anthem, we need to know whether it was adopted by the Zimbabwean legislature in English (then it would be OK) or whether it was adopted in some other language and then translated into English. If the other is true, it might still be in public domain if it was an official governmental translation, but we would have to check what the Zimbabwe laws say about copyright of government works. If the translation was done by a non-government organization or by a private person, then it is almost certainly copyrighted. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 19:40, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

No problem, I just fail to understand you. I am not going to reap anything, I was just trying to help you and hoped to find some ways how to save at least part of the text here. I explained you what is possible and what is not and was willing to discuss the possibilities with you. Contributing here is voluntary and demands abilities to listen and cooperate.
