Hello Mike18xx,
I noticed that you have uploaded Getman Gulag Paintings to Wikisource. Although the text indicates that Wikisource has permission to use this text, this is unfortunately not enough. Wikisource requires that atexts be in the public domain, or licenced under the GFDL or a compatible licence If the text you upload is copyrighted, it cannot be used and is deleted. To quote Wikipedia's page for copyright problems
"If you submitted work to Wikipedia which you had previously published (especially online), and your submission was marked as a potential infringement of copyright, stating that you are the copyright holder of the work on the article's talk page helps, but will not likely prevent deletion. It is sufficient to:
- Make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL at the site of the original publication.
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions at wikimedia dot org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation."
Therefore, an explicit statement that the material is in the public domain, or under the GFDL or another compatible licence is required. PLease read Wikisource:Copyright policy for more information on our copyright policy. I have removed all the disputed commentary from Agreement of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile, and it will now sit there plain. If/when there is an encyclopaedic article we can add that link. — billinghurst sDrewth 22:32, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
