On first page of multi-page table, footer is displayed above the table[edit]

For example: Page:The Urantia Book, 1st Edition.djvu/7. I guess that since the software needs to display something from the footer on the first page, and since the table doesn't close normally, the footer gets rendered before the table. Not sure if this can be fixed here on wikisource, or if the underlying wikimedia software needs a bit of tweaking. Xaxafrad (talk) 17:01, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I also found a page where a numbered list crosses a page break...not sure how to work-around this one. Xaxafrad (talk) 23:52, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tables[edit]

I feel the following text should be added (based on my own frustrating experiences in trying to get things working effectively.

"Mediawiki table syntax at present is not ideal for representing tables that are split over multiple pages. The approach that follows is what has generally been demonstrated to work in most cases.

Transcription of complex tables which run over an extended number of pages ( more than 5) is beyond the scope of this help page and these tables will need to be carefully constructed on a case by case basis, Please use the Scriptorum to ask for assistance with these. .." Reverted hws/hwe conversation[edit]

There has been no deprecation of the template, it stands as it is. Its use, is its use, and remains valid information for new users, which is the target. — billinghurst sDrewth 09:02, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Adding missed pages of a book in index/book[edit]

I have separately scanned, transcribed and proof read the text of 2 pages (32, 33) those were missing in the uploaded text of 50 pages in wikisource. Please help me to include them in main content. Vjsuseela (talk) 09:30, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Vjsuseela: You're better off posting such requests on WS:S/H. And please include a link to each of the relevant indexes and files so that people can see how best to help you. Xover (talk) 09:43, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
