Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikisource! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. Creating an account on Wikisource has many of the same benefits as creating an account on Wikipedia. For one thing, if you continue to edit without a username, your IP address is used to publicly identify you.

In any case, I hope you enjoy donating your time to grow the Wikisource library that is free for everyone to use! In discussions, please sign your comments using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question here (click edit) and place {{helpme}} before your question. Again, welcome! — billinghurst sDrewth 23:54, 23 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Provenance of works

[edit]

Hi. We need more than just a paste of a work, as Wikipedia needs citations, Wikisource needs sources. We collect editions of works, so it is important to us to have the source and provenance of the work. Whilst we would prefer to have a image supported copy of a work, in lieu of that, it would be great if you would add the source detail to the talk page of the work (usually in the {{textinfo}} template}. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 23:56, 23 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Completion

[edit]

Hello. Do you intend to complete Casina (Titus Maccius Plautus), Gallathea (John Lyly), or The Woman in the Moon (John Lyly)? They may be removed if they're abandoned.

Also, have you considered creating a user account? You can read about that process here. It will make collaborating easier. Prosody (talk) 05:35, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

We have a scanned edition that is being transcribed for this copy. Please do not copy-paste from another website, but instead work from the scanned copy. --EncycloPetey (talk) 20:41, 21 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

The Judgment of Paris (Lucian of Samosata)

[edit]

Baudelaire Jones is a living author, so this is still in copyright. Do not post such things here.--Prosfilaes (talk) 20:55, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
