coding

[edit]

As an aside, about the use of {{numbered list}} like that is just going to create headaches, it is way easier to just code with standard wiki code. eg.

# <noinclude><ol start=n></noinclude>text text
# text text

and it will run perfectly and you don't have to wrap equals signs etc. and just has nice simple coding for the next proofreader. Truth be told you probably don't need to noinclude it, as it will make no difference. (I will note that I didn't check whether you started it that way, or just continued it. — billinghurst sDrewth 04:09, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I just continued it. I didn't start it Matr1x-101 (talk) 16:31, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your might also want to cast your eye at some Copyright discussions, where some related concerns arose. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 21:07, 5 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

will do :) —Matrix(!) ping onewhen replying {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 20:40, 8 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Last will and testament of Herbert Macaulay

[edit]

You gave a daye of 1946, but put a license on claiming it was published in the US before 1930. Something is wrong. --EncycloPetey (talk) 20:24, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

@EncycloPetey: the situtation is a bit complicated and I'm wasn't sure there's a tag. The work is PD since Nigeria's URAA date is 1996, when the 1988 copyright act would have applied - this provides a 50 year old copyright term. Since he died on 1945 and obviously the will was written before that, the copyright expired exactly on 1 January 1996 in Nigeria and hence the US. I'll replace it with {{PD-1996}}. —Matrix(!) ping onewhen replying {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 20:28, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Wait I'm stupid I misread 1946 as 1945.. let me reevaluate. —Matrix(!) ping onewhen replying {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 20:29, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I just read a bit about the copyright law about Nigeria - think I was wrong. [1] states the 1988 law was retroactive and would mean that the term would be 70pma. This would mean URAA would still apply, and we can undelete on 2042 (1946+95+1) —Matrix(!) ping onewhen replying {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 20:47, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
