A Little Bit of Advice[edit]

Thank you for your contribution towards Foreign Exchange Regulation (Amendment) Act, 1973! I have finished proofread your text. Here's a few suggestions that you may find useful:

  • Please name source files and indices with a meaningful name. For example, for File:1487052177 320.pdf that you've uploader for Foreign Exchange Regulation (Amendment) Act, 1973, a better file name would be File:Foreign Exchange Regulation (Amendment) Act, 1973.pdf. Once an indice is created, it is troublesome to amend the file and index names.
  • If you are dealing with statute law (i.e. Acts, Ordinances, Regulations, Rules, Orders...), use it's short title (typically stated at the legislation's very beginning) as the title. This helps others to find your work more easily.
  • It's a good practice to place anchors for each section, subsection and paragraph/subparagraph. For example, we may place {{Anchor|1.1}} before section 1(1) of a legislation. While these don't appear at the page, we can then directly link to and find that provision by typing [[Example legislation#1.1]].
  • As to formatting, you may want to pay closer attention to em dashes (―), en dashes (–) and hyphens (-), and maintain consistent quotation mark usage (i.e. whether "example" or example). These are relatively minor issues that can be dealt once you finish everything.

Again, there are many tricks and perks on English Wikisource. If you have questions, feel free to leave them on WS:S/H or ask me, thanks!廣九直通車 (talk) 06:41, 21 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
