Welcome[edit]

Welcome

Hello, Smiller385, and welcome to Wikisource! Thank you for joining the project. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Add the code {{active projects}}, {{PotM}} or {{CotW}} to your page for current wikisource projects.

You can put a brief description of your interests on your user page and contributions to another Wikimedia project, such as Wikipedia and Commons.

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikisource, the library that is free for everyone to use! In discussions, please "sign" your comments using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question here (click edit) and place {{helpme}} before your question.

In case you haven't seen my entry on your talk page, thanks for your speedy greeting after my first Wikisource edit. If you're reading this, then I did manage to figure out how to reply to you. I also browsed the helpful sources you cited and am more confident, if not yet experienced.

Would you like me to delete my entry from your talk page? It doesn't seem to belong amongst all those more substantial ones.

Everyone of us was in your position once and it's been a gradual process of learning for all of us.

There's no need to delete your entry from my talk page. It belongs there just as much as the other communications. I would just remind you of the need to sign your talk page entries with ~~~~. Then we'll know who is communicating. Best, Beeswaxcandle (talk) 03:43, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Another welcome[edit]

Please let us know your interests. We have lots of things on offer, and lots of people (some who are even nice wink) who would be happy to assist. We always encourage Wikisource:Proofread of the Month as a place to start as it is always active, and you get to cheat watch what others do. Plus it gives a sense of achievement for us all to have a little success. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:49, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
