Clement of RomeFirst Clement is one of the oldest Christian documents outside the New Testament canon. The epistle was written for the church in Corinth, where it was read for centuries. It circulated among other churches and was compiled in the 5th-century Codex Alexandrinus with the Old and New Testaments. Historians generally consider it authentic.
