This is a translation... should not who translated it be marked? Grenavitar 04:42, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

This version's taken from Andrew Lang's work, compare with this webpage[1]. I assume that Andrew Lang himself is the translator. --Metal.lunchbox 21:15, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Changing Edition[edit]

There are litteraly hundreds of versions of these Mother Goose stories. Wikisource doesn't seem to have the rest of them and I think it makes the most since to include them as in their original collection. The Andrew Lang version may be his own translation but I was unable to find this information. I'm adding the entire original collection at Tales of Mother Goose using the Charles Welsh translations as can be found on Project Gutenberg [2]. This collection is very similar to Perrault's 1697 original. In case this is a problem the Andrew Lang version can be found here[3]. --Metal.lunchbox 21:48, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Why {{versions}}?[edit]

I was under the impression that {{versions}} was to be used for different versions of the same work, and basically same author, or sets of author, some sort of provenence relationship. To me, this page should be more {{disambiguation}}. — billinghurst sDrewth 15:56, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
