Links here[edit]

Wondering whether there is any worth in having parameters that would easily show what links here. Was thinking of something that could take say up to 5-10 options, so that terms/titles that redirect to the disambiguation page can be clearly identified. — billinghurst sDrewth 10:35, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You mean something akin to w:Template:Redirect, without the see [[foo]] part? —Pathoschild 11:25:00, 06 April 2010 (UTC)

Added to parts of notes space[edit]

I have added a couple of components to the notes area, through {{disambiguation/info}}, that show link to an "intitle" search and shows pages through special prefix. If it is not seen as advantageous then we can revert. If we think it is useful then we could also see the relevance to {{versions}} and {{translations}}. — billinghurst sDrewth 08:22, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I support the idea in principle, but the display needs work. The icon is ambiguous, and the new borders and format unnecessary; if this is a good idea it should be part of the header. The text might say something like:
Search for titles beginning with or containing: "Telling the Bees".

I've moved the search links to {{plain sister}}, using a variation on cygnis' wording. This keeps all of the links in one place. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 23:48, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorting issues for disambiguated author pages[edit]

Noticed that the author pages sort by {{PAGENAME}}. Looked to try to sort by addition of {{DEFAULTSORT:}}, though there already being the one, it complains. Tried to add the defaultsort parameter within the Author section and that doesn't seem to work. If someone figures out the issue before me, then fantastic. — billinghurst sDrewth 06:24, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Interwiki reverted[edit]

Why would we want to point a disambiguation page at another disambiguation page? Seems nonsensical. The discussion was had earlier (not that I can remember where). Disambiguation is a local thing, to sort out things named similarly, locally. If there is a need for a one off page there is means to do it with {{plain sister}} without implementing and encouraging for all. Just because we can, doesn't make it either necessary or worthwhile, so it would be better to demonstrate the case, than just to implement. — billinghurst sDrewth 15:56, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

{{Bible versions 2}} uses them and it is a downstream variant of this template. I have added plain sister directly to that template instead, although it gets displaced a little by the disambiguation text (eg. 1 Corinthians). - AdamBMorgan (talk) 18:18, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

formatting[edit]

Can this formatting please be removed CYGNIS INSIGNIS 12:17, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are a number of bits going on there. What problem are we solving or resolving, or changing? The subnote? the formatting? the nofooter? — billinghurst sDrewth 12:42, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
