Doing a great job
[edit]Doing a great job in the Page: namespace. Give me a hoy when you want to learn how we pull these things together in the main namespace, though Ineuw may already be doing that for these pieces. A little note about page-terminating paragraphs. In such a situation we look to end the page with a {{nop}} as this is enough to force a paragraph break and stop the collapsing whitespace. If we didn't insert a {{nop}} then it would add a space and run the paragraphs together. — billinghurst sDrewth 12:01, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
Spelling mistakes
[edit]I found a few spelling mistakes in pages like Page:Popular Science Monthly Volume 2.djvu/198. Should I corrected them?
- I couldn't see any spelling mistakes, just different spelling, the usual practice is to not change those. What you did there seems right. If you find a mistake you can just ignore it, getting the text to match the scan is the first and most important step. CYGNIS INSIGNIS 15:06, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
In table of contents
[edit]{{helpme}} Well, I do not know what the PROFESSOR TYNDALL'S TOPICS section actually is, but shouldn't Page:Popular Science Monthly Volume 2.djvu/224 appear in the table of contents displayed in Index:Popular_Science_Monthly_Volume_2.djvu ? Just like Page:Popular Science Monthly Volume 2.djvu/115 does…
- Correct. I have added the section and left a message for Ineuw (talk • contribs) so he can go and transclude the pages. Good get! Billinghurst (talk) 14:43, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Cchene. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Cchene~enwikisource that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
