Editions and versions[edit]

Hi. We work on editions/versions of works, rather than the notion of having a single copy of a work. For example, as the constitution of Wyoming has been through several versions over the year, we would hold each version where it can be supported by evidence of publication, rather than just the one. For that we would create a {{versions}} page, akin to a disambiguation page, that would link to each version that we hold. For your recent addition, I have re-transcluded to Constitution of the State of Wyoming (2008) and will disambiguate the previous unsourced version. — billinghurst sDrewth 00:45, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Bah, it was that version. I misread the notes. Done some jiggling anyway, as I think that naming is better and allows for the earlier versions. — billinghurst sDrewth 01:15, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Mainspace categories on Indexes[edit]

Hi, I've just removed a few mainspace categories that you've put on some Indexes. The categories for the Index: namespace are tracking and monitoring categories, rather than type of work or subject. These belong on the work in the Mainspace. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 21:50, 7 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
