Proofreading

I recommend Help:Beginner's guide to typography, especially the first major section, for new editors. --EncycloPetey (talk) 00:20, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

I've also made some edits to page xxiv and page 1 that should assist you with certain style points as you proceed on this work. In particular:

• {{nop}}, when placed at the end of a page, ensures that the first line of the next page will begin a new paragraph.
• The {{rh}} (running header) is very useful for placing page numbers and section titles on pages so that they will not intrude in the final work, and
• {{hi}} (or hanging indent) should provide suitable formatting on the first page of each chapter.

Marking pages 'Proofread'

Hi, FriendlyGhostUser!

Glad to see you sticking around and continuing to contribute. I recently edited Page:The Rocky Mountain Saints.djvu/48, which you had previously done work on. When you finished, you had marked it "Not Proofread." But when I came by, there was little for me to do -- just linking the title and author of a referenced work.

Please consider marking pages "Proofread" rather than "Not Proofread." Specifically what this means is covered on the associated help page, but briefly a "proofread" page should just about look like the original in terms of most layout, text, formatting, and so on. You've been doing a great job so far, but it would be real helpful if you could mark pages as "proofread" rather than "not proofread" when you finish and are satisfied with how it looks and reads.
