{{help me}}[edit]

Hi billinghurst, thank you for the warm welcome.

I would love to participate in Proofread of the Month, how do I goo about it?

Best Regards, Iwuala Lucy (talk) 14:57, 23 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello. You can visit the page of the project at Wikisource:Proofread of the Month and there choose an index to work on. I suggest you start with validation and later you can start with proofreading as such. For example the Index:The Works of the Rev. Jonathan Swift, Volume 1.djvu has already all the pages proofread, but only a few are validated (the green ones). So you can choose a yellow page and check it against the scan on the right. If you see any typo, you can click the edit button, correct it and mark the page as validated. If everything is all right, you click the edit button anyway and just mark the page as validated.
You may also be interested in a similar project Monthly Challenge, where there are more frequently added new works to proofread and validate.--Jan Kameníček (talk) 12:17, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
