Sorry you got started out with drama. FYI, that you got blocked is being discussed at WS:AN#Hyperactivity noted. The abuse filter you triggered is hidden from non-admins like me (to prevent reverse engineering) but it seems obvious to me that your edit was a false positive. Hopefully this won't chase you away... the block will automatically expire shortly even if an admin isn't around. Just don't 'insist on it' when you get the warning about an edit, though (which is very rare), instead you have to go complain at the people that own the filter. Unblocked. I will have a look to see if I can refine the filter. — billinghurst sDrewth 00:57, 18 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Indeed. I was the one that originally made the mistake that you corrected, and very much appreciate you taking the time to do so. The automated filter that blocked you was simply being slightly overeager in looking for people spamming links to scam websites and phone numbers and so forth. Apologies for the inconvenience, and I very much hope the experience didn't put you off contributing in the future. We are an entirely volunteer-run project so anyone that wants to contribute are very very welcome here! Xover (talk) 08:04, 18 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
