Wikisource:Translations

Thanks for the translations, and I wondered whether you had seen the page Wikisource:Translations. One of the things that we need to do is to assign a public domain status to the work. Apostrophes aint always there

Hi, I saw your question about adding apostrophes that aren't in the source text and thought that I would drop you a line. One of our goals is to re-present the source text exactly as it was published—spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, punctuation errors and all. Therefore, you shouldn't add apostrophes into "aint" in Treasure Island.

We would generally only put this at the end of the page where there is a termination of a paragraph, not just at the end of a page, and generally it would be on a new line of its own. The reason being is that the wiki gobbles terminating blank lines and this helps to prevent that. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:49, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

Titles and headers

Hi, we need to have titles both in the header and on the page itself. This is because when a work is exported either to PDF or to ePub the headers aren't a part of the export. I first picked this up when trying to read a novel with the chapter titles in the headers only. There were no chapter divisions in the ePub and I got lost a few times.
