DNB to enWP[edit]

Hi. To let you know that any WP directed wikilink in a DNB article here can be removed. I have built in a linking device to follow the WS biography's main subject link and where that linking person item has an enWP wikilink to take that into the DNB article. Linking logic is displayed in {{import enwiki}}.

I have yet to remove them from the enWS articles systematically, as I have been running checks whilst editing those articles. I am happy with the results and will start that process this week. When they are all removed I will set up some monitoring for those that don't have links to enWP.

So you should be able to focus your efforts at Wikidata to ensure that each article has a main subject, and for those that don't have enWP articles. — billinghurst sDrewth 12:23, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Billinghurst: Ah, I didn't realize that this was already something in progress. Thanks! Vahurzpu (talk) 03:07, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It all follows my recent moving of articles. General blurb at Wikisource talk:WikiProject DNB. We are trying to leverage WD and autolinking as much as possible. — billinghurst sDrewth 01:40, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As a note, I am similarly working on numbers of our other biographical compilations to get the same sort of thing done. I need someone to build me an autoinjection tool. :-) — billinghurst sDrewth 01:43, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Noted Negro Women[edit]

hi, i see you started this work using the hathi trust scan. but the page scans seem to have difficulty loading. would you be amenable to uploading and working this other scan from internet archive? [1] (reprint) or this one [2] (1893 1st edition) cheers Slowking4Farmbrough's revenge 23:53, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Slowking4 After a (long) delay due to forgetting about this, I've figured out how to fix the problem. It should be working now if you're interested. Vahurzpu (talk) 18:48, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
