These are the Acts of the Parliament of South Africa. Parliament, which was established in 1910 at the creation of the Union of South Africa, is the legislative branch of the South African government. Acts of Parliament are indexed by year and by number within each year.
Acts of Parliament are in the public domain in terms of §12(8)(a) of the Copyright Act, 1978, which states that "No copyright shall subsist in official texts of a legislative, administrative or legal nature, or in official translations of such texts"; they are also in the public domain in the United States as "edicts of a government".
